Job Summary

As an HVAC & Plumbing Helper, you’ll work closely with our licensed Installers and Service Technicians to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and plumbing systems. This entry‑level role is a great way to build technical skills and gain on‑the‑job experience in both trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of HVAC systems (air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductwork) and plumbing systems (water heaters, boilers, fixtures).
• Support Service Technicians during diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance calls.
• Carry tools, supplies, and equipment between job sites or within installations.
• Help prepare work areas, protect client property, and clean up job sites.
• Perform basic tasks such as pipe cutting, measurements, soldering, sealing, and system flushing under guidance.
• Load and unload company vehicles and restock parts and inventory.
• Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized; report any issues.
• Observe and follow company and regulatory safety procedures at all times.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interest in HVAC and plumbing trades; prior experience (e.g. school labs, summers, internships) is helpful but not required.
• Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments—tight spaces, heights, heat, cold, noise.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to take direction well.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail; ability to follow multi-step instructions.
• Team player who demonstrates respect, courtesy, and a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform tasks indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
